too old for this sh*t

ok, as some of you might know, i've been sick for the last month or so with some form of sore throat or sniffles or something... well, thanks to someone who shall remain nameless, yours truly went to the dr (again) and was told that he should just go ahead and go to the ER since he had a "peri-tonsilar abcess" that would probably need lanced (in other words, they would stick a needle in my neck and drain whatever is in there). well, off we go to the ER and three hours later, i get told that i have... are you ready for this? mono. yeah, that's right. 31 years old with mono. they took blood from the top of my hand, at which point, i apparently bled on the floor.. good for me, that'll teach you to stick a needle in my hand. hah.

anyway, i've got mono, which totally baffles me cuz i ain't been kissin' on anyone, much less get that close to anyone... either way, this sucks, and hopefully i'll get over this pretty quickly.
