old? me?

well, it's my birthday today. i've already done the partying, so today i'm taking it easy, the biggest thing i plan on doing today is going out on a ride, like all the other sunday riders.. hah.

had quite a good turnout for the ETB show on friday, met a couple new people, had a few drinks, saw an excellent show, had some laughs. the waitress, melissa, that recognized me right off the bat informed us that she was leaving to go to france in a couple weeks (jealous), but would probably be back sooner or later. must be nice to be able to just pack up and leave the country. she did goad us into all having a shot of tuaca. i tell you there's nothing quite like 14 shots of tuaca all lined up on the table.. it's a thing of beauty.

saturday was the RHH show, it was a different kind of show than all the other times i've seen them. i think it had to do with the venue, with the dividers left over from when the granada was a movie theater, there was no room for dancing, the pit, and the overall mayhem that is usually present at RHH shows. RHH seemed to notice it and brought the crowd in by taking requests from the audience and played songs that i had not heard live in quite some time.

after the show, we ended up next door at what used to be Mike's Treehouse and had one last drink for the evening.

all in all, i had a great time both nights and feel very lucky at this point to know such wonderful people.
